Announcing the opening of RAISING CHILDREN BOOKSTORE

Raising Children, a new bookstore dedicated to children’s mental health needs, opened its doors on June 25, 2001. An adjoining store, ‘The Inquiring Mind’, will open later this summer and allow for more extensive research, as well as community-based events and support group meetings.

The stores’ uniquely comprehensive inventory of over 30,000 mental health titles is the largest in the United States.

These stores will carry the most current literature in areas such as creative arts therapies, children with disabilities, domestic violence, childhood trauma and sexual abuse, diagnostic assessment, psychodrama, real-life storytelling, death and dying, psychoanalysis and children’s mental health, among others. The inventory will feature the most recent titles on topics such as Asperger Syndrome, Autism, ADHD and ADD, as well as a vast array of other materials for teachers and parents. All caregivers will find an abundance of titles to help them communicate with and understand children.
