For New York Family Peer Advocates
Families Together has developed a process for Credentialing Family Peer Advocates. The designation of ‘Family Peer Advocate’ would be given to a family advocate who met (and maintained) certain requirements. The intent of this credentialing process is to formally recognize the expertise of Family Peer Advocates, to ensure all advocates demonstrate core competencies, to expand reimbursement possibilities, and to provide opportunities for professional growth and collaboration.
Successful completion of the PEP Basic training is a core requirement of the credential.
