The mission of VoicesUnited4Change is to provide support, knowledge and resources to meet the social, emotional, behavioral and educational needs of families, youth and young adults in Orange County, New York in the most respectful, family-driven, youth-guided, and culturally competent way.
VoicesUnited4Change: Provides an opportunity for youth and family members to understand and value the importance of having a voice in their care. Members use their experience to learn and advocate for what is working in the system and change the things that are not working. Our main focus is to ensure that Family and Youth driven care and its values become ingrained in the Orange County Mental Health Community.
The 2019 theme is “Building Bridges for Change: Supporting the Mental Health of Children, Youth and Young Adults.”
Join us at this free event honoring individuals and programs that are successfully addressing the issues of children’s mental health. These include work on early identification, outreach, family education, providing mental health awareness in schools and successful intervention on behalf of children and their families.
We are excited to expand What’s Great in Our State to a full-day featuring workshops, keynote speakers and a luncheon celebrating this year’s honorees.
