Wendy Blanchard managed to survive forty years of prescription drug addiction and mental-health disorders before finally enlisting support and help to save her life. Wendy has created necessary change to achieve “whole person wellness” through holistic healthy practices, spiritual solutions and self care. She has created a number of very successful mental-health and wellness literacy development trainings dealing with content such as self-care and wellness practices, spiritual solutions, trauma informed care, and specific tools and strategies in adapting a wellness mindset. These tools and strategies are sustainable and offer the
opportunity to thrive in recovery.
Wendy has very recently, in October, 2021, created and launched her “Whole Person Wellness: An Integrative Approach to Recovery program.” Wendy holds certifications from the National Council for Behavioral Health (Mental Health First Aid for Youth and Adults), the NYS Suicide Prevention Center (Suicide Safety for School Staff), and the NY Peer Specialist Certification Board (Certified Peer Specialist), and is an Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health Coach and consultant with a private practice, working with clients in recovery from mental illness and substance use disorder.
