Facilitated by Eva Chavez, Training and Outreach Manager with Safe Horizons Anti-Trafficking Program (ATP)

This training aims to educate young people about what their human rights are, while also educating young people on major pressing human rights issues that affect them and their community, empowering them to do something about it.

The goal of this training is to conduct outreach and educate youth, families, and organizations about human trafficking in New York State and the US. Our training addresses both sex and labor trafficking, with a particular focus on labor trafficking.

Topics covered include the anti-trafficking legal framework, the prevalence of trafficking, red flags and indicators to identifying victims of trafficking and resources available to victims.

We will discuss resources and ways to get involved to support an end to human

trafficking. This training will be 45 minutes long with 15 minutes for Q&A.
