Cathy Kent who started off as a youth peer advocate intern and made her way up to being an outstanding advisor with over eight years of advocating and implementing structural change in organizations unfamiliar with the role of Advocacy. With expertise in supporting and bringing forth the voice of families and youth within the different child-serving systems mental health systems. Skilled in collaborating with multiple diverse stakeholders across various systems to address the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents, and families with expertise in autism spectrum disorder  (ASD). Lived experience of exposure to domestic violence and having a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I’ve learned to navigate both the Mental health system shelter systems and actively be involved in DDI while also helping bring forth the voices of children struggling with domestic violence.
