NEW! “Building Cultural Humility and Understanding when Engaging: Tribal Nations and Native American Communities”

Friday, August 15, 2025 @ 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

During this presentation we will work deepen the FPA’s knowledge and understanding to the Native American culture.

Objectives:

  • Becoming familiar with Native American History.
  • Recognizing the struggles and difficulties Native Americans have faced historically and continue to face today.
  • Improving Relations with Tribal Nations while respecting Tribal Sovereignty.
  • Learning to Navigate services on and off Tribal Nation Territories that will help support Native American Individuals.
  • Creating local Native American listservs of beneficial programs and services.

Affinity space for credentialed Family Peer Advocates to promote collaboration, skills development, inclusivity and belonging.

Schedule: occurs monthly on the first Tuesday from 12:00PM – 1:00PM

FPA Supervisor Cafe

Open forum for FPA supervisors to discuss the challenges and successes of supervising family peer advocates and to support role clarity.

Schedule: occurs bi-monthly on the second Tuesday from 11:00AM – 12:00PM
