The Youth Peer Advocate works directly with youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, or co-occurring challenges to build confidence, develop skills, and connect with needed supports. This role involves mentoring, advocacy, and co-leading peer support groups, empowering youth to engage in their own growth and recovery journey. Compeer Rochester is hiring Peer and Youth Engagement Specialist positions!

The Youth Engagement Specialist will work with individuals ages 5 to 21 with behavioral health challenges to reduce interpersonal/environmental barriers and improve functioning and integration within their family and community. Services are delivered face to face in 1:1 and group settings using person-centered, recovery-oriented interventions.

This person will serve as a peer mentor to youth, adults, and families with mental health and/or substance use disorders. The Peer Specialist will work with referred individuals on life skills, socialization, and other areas as needed to assist in mental health and substance use recovery.

Northern Rivers Family of Services hiring a Family Peer Advocate!

As a Family Peer Advocate, you will help children with emotional and mental health challenges through support and advocacy with parents and caregivers. You will report to the Program Manager, Community Solutions and Peer Support and you will work onsite with travel required.

The Youth Peer Support Services Worker will be responsible for engaging youth and their families in order to assist them in identifying their needs as well as achieving their goals. The Youth Peer Support Services worker will be an integral part of the Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS) Program and will participate in supportive, recreational and educational activities offered to youth and families.

The Family Peer Support Service Worker assists the program in providing services to families in the areas where support and advocacy is needed, but do not require the full services of the Care Manager. Duties include escorting, advocacy, assisting families to access community resources, and family support. Accompany and transportation of children and families are essential components of the position.
