yOUTH PEER ADVOCATE pROFESSIONAL CREDENTIAL (Ypa-C)
An individual seeking a YPA Professional Credential must hold a valid YPA Provisional Credential.
Follow the “steps” below to resume your progress!
Step 3: Complete Level 2 Online Training
How Do I Access Level 2 Online Training?
- Access will be automatically granted upon completion of Level 1 Online Training.
- Can complete before or after receiving a Provisional Credential.
When you click the button below you will be redirected to the Self-Learning Center hosted by our partners at the NYU McSilver Training and Technical Assistance Centers. This is where you will resume your coursework.
Steps 4 & 5: Complete Level 2 Advanced Training and Coaching Calls
Registration Requirements:
- Completion of Level 1 & Level 2 Online Modules
- Hold a valid YPA Provisional Credential
- Providing Youth Peer Support (YPS) Services to youth/young adults for at least 3 months independently.
- Currently employed in NYSOMH licensed, designated or funded programs providing Medicaid reimbursable services of youth peer support.

2026 Training Schedule
1-hour Orientation: Tuesday, September 8 @ 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Day 1: Thursday, September 10 @ 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Day 2: Friday, September 11 @ 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Day 3: Monday, September 14 @ 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Day 4: Tuesday, September 15 @ 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Trainees are also required to participate in weekly, 1.5 hour coaching calls on Tuesdays @ 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM from 9/29 through 11/17.
Availability is limited to the first 16 eligible registrants. If you do not yet meet registration requirements, your registration will not be approved.
