Navigating Conflict and Difficult Conversations
Thursday, June 18, 2026 @ 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
When youth disagree with their providers or families, Youth Peer Advocates play a critical role in supporting their voice—without stepping in or taking over. This interactive training explores practical strategies for navigating conflict in a way that keeps youth at the center while maintaining professionalism across systems.
Participants will build skills in mediation, communication, and de-escalation, while learning how to balance advocacy with empowerment. YPAs will leave with tools they can immediately use to support youth through challenging conversations with confidence and care.

YPA Lived Experience Cafe
Whether you are new to your role or have been a Youth Peer Advocate for many years, the Lived Experience Cafe is a YPA networking group to share experiences, innovative and effective practices, knowledge and skills, solution to barriers and challenges, and key information supporting your role as Youth Peer Advocates!

Youth Peers Meeting
YPM is a monthly statewide meeting for students and youth, Youth Peer Advocates (YPA), Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA), and others in similar peer-based roles (ages 12-30) to connect and have an open discussion to share tools and strategies, advocacy, and workforce development.
