NEW! “Parents as Partners”
Friday, March 21, 2025 @ 10:00AM – 11:30AM
This workshop aims to enhance the competencies of Family Peer Advocates (FPA’S) as they establish productive relationships with caregivers. Participants will acquire strategies for cultivating trusting relationships with parents, starting from the initial contact and continuing throughout the duration of their working relationship. This workshop will explore various topics such as: overcoming initial distrust from caregivers, establishing boundaries, nonverbal communication, and navigating feelings of vulnerability. By the conclusion of this workshop, FPA’S will be equipped with the skills necessary to build successful partnerships with the families they serve.

Affinity space for credentialed Family Peer Advocates to promote collaboration, skills development, inclusivity and belonging.
