Technology to Support Family-Driven Care: Practical Strategies for Family Peer Advocates

Technology has become an essential part of how Family Peer Advocates (FPAs) engage, educate, and support families. This training explores how digital tools can enhance family-driven care while preserving authentic relationships that are at the heart of peer support. Participants will learn practical strategies for using technology to improve communication, organization, resource sharing, and family engagement, while examining the benefits and challenges of virtual and in-person peer advocacy. The session also addresses ethical considerations, professional boundaries, confidentiality, and equitable access to technology, equipping FPAs with the knowledge and skills to integrate digital tools into their practice without losing the personal connection that empowers families.
