Family and youth peer-led initiatives play a crucial role in expanding and enhancing peer support services. Our comprehensive video series is designed to empower organizations seeking to develop and strengthen their programs. If you are interested in growing your family or youth peer program or organization, we invite you to view our new video series on programmatic and organizational growth and capacity building. This series consists of five videos divided into two parts; providing comprehensive guidance on  organizational growth, that includes:

  • Identifying funding sources

  • Developing grants stratergies

  • Collaborating with community partners

The series also covers core principles of organizational capacity building and family and youth peer leadership. The video series is accompanied by resource handouts to further the learning.

About the Presenter

Rebecca Evansky, LMSW

Executive Director of the Wellness Collaborative of New York, supporting the growth of peer support services by leading an Independent Practice Association comprised of twelve peer-led provider organizations across New York State. She is advancing the collaborative foundation to ensure quality and authenticity of peer support services and shifting towards sustainability under value-based contracting.

Prior to this work, she oversaw initiatives focused on treatment and prevention of substance use disorders at the Adirondack Health Institute. Her professional career has been dedicated to behavioral health and wellness initiatives.

Known as a compassionate advocate, Rebecca has over 20 years of experience in direct services, including legal and medical advocacy. She continues to volunteer at her local domestic violence hotline and is a skilled presenter in trauma-informed practices, health and wellness planning, collaborative partnerships, and strategic planning.

This training and all materials are products created via Cooperative Agreement #H79 SM082962-04 and in partnership with the NYS Office of Mental Health.
