Self-Discovery and Awareness: Who am I and Why It Matters
  • This eye-opening activity and conversation commences the individual insight into their assumptions and how they inform our thoughts and behaviors.
  • Participants will explore their assumptions as a segue and entry point into the deeper dive about implicit and unconscious bias
  • Engage in self-exploration activities to understand one’s own culture
  • Recognize that cultural identity is an important contributor to person’s well-being
  • Realize how one’s cultural identity (e.g. preferences, motivations, attitudes, beliefs, values, traditions, etc.) informs and intersects with service delivery
  • Exploring the concepts of cultural awareness/sensitivity/humility
